If you have purchased a MOD Cold Press Juicer or MOD Blend Pro recently you may have noticed something a little different about our packaging. Our unboxing experience stands out from the crowd…and for good reason. We are well aware that in the appliance industry, products often come wrapped up in all sorts of plastic. Whilst this can be important, it is often single use and results in a source of unnecessary waste.

In 2019 we decided to look at the packaging status quo with fresh eyes. We had a goal of creating sustainable packaging for our juicer that did not compromise its security during transit. As a result, we are proud to say that we have reduced the amount of plastic packaging by 95% in less than 12 months.

We did this by replacing the protective, plastic bag around the motor base with our popular reusable jute bag that is also biodegradable and compostable. We have also replaced the plastic packaging that was once used to protect other parts of the appliance with biodegradable paper. Lastly, we have switched out our drink flask for a 100% glass bottle. Small changes can make a big difference
